The Bs played a friendly game on Saturday against Harlequins, (which combined players once affiliated with a now defunct Lockside club).

17 players turned up for the game and despite not having a front row and having to revert to uncontested scrums the lads (many who didn’t know each others names) put on a startling performance right from kick off. The opposition had no answer to the speed and accurate ball handling of the newly formed back line as we found ourselves 33 nil up at half time. The forwards continued to set the platform in the second half with quick recycled ball and a number of pick and drives (which honestly the English rugby team would of found difficult to counteract) and the opposition finally succumbed to an impressive last 20 minute slaughter which ended with a final score of 59-3 in Kilburns favor.

The game was played in a great spirit and showed the passion new players can bring to this club, it was terrific to see the skills being exhibited by all players, so well done to all concerned and let’s look forward to the inevitable commencement of the formal Bs Merit table competition starting shortly.
