KILBURN COSMOS 24 - ROSSLYN PARK NOMADS 39

Kilburn Cosmos B’s put in a brave performance against Rosslyn Park Nomads in their first Middlesex Merit table game of the season at Richmond Park.

Kilburn’s forwards played with heart against a much heavier Rosslyn Park pack; with good work from new boys Ben Larby, Perez Labort and Jade Sharp. Excellent line out jumping from captain Tom O’Connor and Simon Huxtable’s work at breakdown provided clean possession for the Kilburn backs.

Paul Nolan and Chris Storti linked up well at half back and clever use of the long pass provided 2 tries in the corner for full back Hayden Wilson. The score at half time was 27 - 24 with everything to play for.

In the second half, injuries to No8 Charles Winstone and fly half Chris Storti caused Kilburn to lose some momentum and allowed Rosslyn Park to score 2 breakaway tries. Right to the end Kilburn continued to play with commitment and passion.

The final score was 39 – 24 to Rosslyn Park but Kilburn could “hold their heads high” at the final whistle as it is was an excellent team against one of the oldest clubs in English rugby .
