KILBURN COSMOS 7 - BLACK BAA BAAS 38

Kilburn Cosmos chairman Phil Morgan, watching on the sideline, found himself called into action as an emergency referee as a knee injury forced the original official off after 10 minutes of Kilburn's second XV match against the Black Baa Baas.

The Cosmos fell behind to an early unconverted try, but full-back Jared Horsfall responded, finishing off a flowing move to score under the posts and an easy conversion put Kilburn 7-5 up.

But another unconverted score brought the Baa Baas back into the lead and two quick tries at the start of the second half stretched the gap to 17 points.

Kilburn did their best to get on the scoresheet again, but were kept at bay by a solid defence and two more tries meant a harsh final scoreline of 38-7.
